Usage:

Maxi Crete RT provides a highly durable floor with an exceptional resistance to thermal shock and chemical attacks. Typical areas of use are wet production facilities, where the floor is exposed to spillage of hot fluids, steam cleaning, heavy traffic, blasts and chemical attacks, such as meat, fish and poultry processing, food and beverage production, dairies, cheese and milk products and where ever there is a need for a durable heavy duty flooring. Suitable for damp floors and areas where there is a risk of Rising Damp.

Description:

Maxi Crete RT is a 3-component polyurethane/cement based flooring system, available in several colors. Provides a highly durable floor with an exceptional resistance to thermal shock and chemical attacks. Typical areas of use are wet production facilities, where the floor is exposed to the spillage of hot fluids, steam cleaning, heavy traffic, blasts and chemical attacks. Maxi Crete RT can be applied as a “Mono coating” one layer application with medium anti-skid surface or as a “Slurry non-skid” two layer application, then with added surface aggregates of either Luxovit or Dynagrip in different grades for improved non-skid properties and topcoated the day after. Maxi Crete RT is applied in either 3mm, 6mm or 9mm thickness. The thickness determines the resistance to thermal shock.

The application of Maxi Crete RT should only be carried out by trained specialist with access to recourses and the right equipment. Golflagnir is a specialized company in this field, has the right equipment and skilled workers which ensure good results.

Preparation:

Foundation: The foundation must be concrete or modified plaster with a compressive strength of at least 25 N/mm². Preparation is done by shot-blasting or milling. All loose material must be removed to present a dry, clean and dust free surface with an open structure.

Repairs and levels: Repairs in the foundation should be carried out using Vespucrete RT or epoxy mortar. Apply a fairly uniform layer thickness into the foundation.

Application:

Mono coating:
Immediately after mixing, apply the mass onto the floor and level with a steel trowel. Apply adjoining mixtures within 10 minutes to ensure nice joints. To create a nicer finish the surface should be rolled over lightly with a spike roller immediately after the mass has been applied and spread out.  

Non-skid Surface:
Immediately after mixing, apply the mass onto the floor and level with a steel trowel, like with Mono coating. Saturate the surface with Luxovit or Dynagrip immediately after application and spike rolling. Thereupon Vespucrete Topcoat is applied. By choosing the grade of the quarts sand or Luxovit, and the amount of topcoat – you achieve the desired roughness / non-skid quality.
